4.8 Rating 22 Reviews
Read CITIZEN Reviews

When breakthrough technology and spectacular design meet, the Tsuki-yomi A-T is reading the moon. It’s the world’s first moonphase watch combined with atomic timekeeping innovation from Citizen, and this 30th Anniversary model is nothing short of impressive. The styling embodies the moon’s surface and a window at 6 o’clock displays the current moon phase. The timepiece measures 43mm in a silver-tone Super Titanium™ case, where sharp faceted edges pair with an elevated design throughout for an eye-catching aesthetic on the wrist. The green dial works in tandem with black accents and silver-tone touches for a display that’s as handsome as it is legible. In addition to its running time, the watch features a moon phase display, world time in 24 time zones, a perpetual calendar, and day-date functionality. Powered by Citizen’s proprietary Eco-Drive technology to provide light-powered vitality without ever needing a battery. Water resistant up to 100 meters. Caliber H874.

The service in general is excellent, but It's not the same watch shown on their website. I received the same model with a black face, and they told me it was the same. We chose it because we liked the green color of the face, but it's not.

The watch is easy on the eyes and priced reasonably. My only issue is with the setting instructions. The language used contained alot of jargon and assumed a familiarity with the product that a new buyer might not have.

The Good: The watch arrived in 2 days, as promised. I followed the pdf directions and configured the watch quite easily. I live in the CST which means I moved the second hand to -6. The resulting time was off by an hour, so I turned daylight saving time ON. That fixed the time. The day of the week and date were both correct. I checked the power reserve and found the watch was fully charged. I placed the watch in a window oriented towards Denver and started the Manual time signal reception. I checked the watch after several minutes and found the reception was successful. I left the watch on my dresser that night, oriented correctly, and the next morning I found that the reception was successful. I took the watch to my authorized Citizen reseller and had them resize the band for me. So, less than 24 hours after receiving the watch, everything is set up correctly. What's not to like? The Reality: First, I was shocked when I opened the box and saw the watch face. I thought Citizen had sent the wrong model. The face looked grey, not green! I checked part numbers on the box and on the website and saw they sent the correct watch. In indoor light the face looks nothing like it does on Citizen's website. Outdoors, the green is quite subtle. Second, the writing on the back (serial #, and city/time zone adjustment #s) are faint. I have to put the watch in bright sunlight in order to read them. The Verdict: I really like the watch: its light weight, its ease in changing time zones, its display of day and date, and its radio reception ability. Also, even though its Crystal is not anti-reflective, I find that I can read it in bright sunshine without any problems. I decided not to deduct a star for the above two realities. But if you order this watch, you should be prepared for them.

Very nice watch. I am pleased with the fit and feel. I love the colors. The green is more subtle than pictured. The functionality of the moon phase works well and is fun to have. I had to find the right window to put the watch next to at night. It syncs flawlessly. This is my second eco drive atomic watch. Due to the joy this one brings me I may have to get another.

The moon-phase Citizen watches all have understated dial colors. Mine is green, but you have to look carefully and under good light to see it green. Otherwise, it looks closer to black. I know that some reviewers have complained about this feature. The reason for this is that the dial features a sort of "earth map." Hence, it uses lighter and darker shades of the same color to give this subtle impression. Regardless, the watch is beautiful and versatile. Keep in mind that to set your time zone correctly, you need to look at the back of the watch to see the cities that are assigned to the time differences. It would have been easier if such a list had been provided in the instructions (the provided list doesn't include the city names). All in all, it's a beautiful watch and, within a relatively limited space, provides a significant amount of information (including the lovely moon phases). I love this watch and recommend it highly.

I really like that this watch is made of titanium construction making feel very light. I also like that it is a perpetual calendar do to syncing with the atomic clocks around the world. The only thing I didn't like about the watch, and I found out the hard way, is when adjusting the bracelet there are tiny rings in the bracelet link cylinders. Citizen uses these rings in the links to create friction with the pin and the link cylinder wall to create a tighter fit. The issue here, if your are unaware, like I was, you can have the potential of losing the rings if/when they drop out of the link. I over adjusted my bracelet and needed to add another link back but the ring had fallen out. I got LUCKY when I found one of the rings in my rug. Long story, short, be aware when you go to adjust your bracelet to make sure you do it over something with a lip to help prevent the rings from rolling off your surface.

After a disappointed experience with my first Promaster Dive i decided to give citizen another shot with the "Moon " watch. Very very pleased. Keeps solid time, fits well, and I have owned it for a year now with zero issues. If your looking at this piece I suggest you go for it. No issues. Awesome look and fit.
