I had the original watch from the early 1990's. I loved that watch. I even wrote Citizen a couple times saying to bring it back! And they DID!!!! The minute I saw the ad for this, I purchased it. It is true to the original! While I have not taken it diving yet, It is like an old friend. I love it. It works great. It looks really cool - the way a REAL dive watch should! (Unlike 99% of all the pseudo dive watches out there.) I look forward to testing all the dive functions in Cozumel soon!

I bought mine more than 40 some years ago and am having it completely refurbished this weekend. This watch has great sentimental value for me, having traveled with me through a jungle, through Central & South America, diving on drug planes and a submarine. It’s been everywhere! It’s old now and so am I but I can’t wait to get it up and running again after finally finding a place that will refurbish it!

Beautiful watch! My original had died and I needed a standby computer for diving. Some divers will want the old bezel with half-minute detents for a smoother ratchet. I haven't put it in the water yet but I'm looking forward to it soon. Naturally, I Love it!

The Legend is back! I owned the OG 1985 model. Regretfully sold it a long time ago. Now Citizen brought back my Holy Grail watch which I will now keep forever. Last year, 2024 I bought the fully Lumed dial Aqualand, the JP-2007-09W. I love it. But the 40th anniversary brings back the OG Gold accents, black dial and famous legendary nuclear orange minute hand. The Greatest Diver of All-Time! I love this legend so much I actually bought 4 of them.

This watch definitely brings back memories from when I was a teenager back in the 80s. It’s a great looking watch and feels great on the wrist.

This new reproduction anniversary edition If not for the case back cover would would be hard pressed to tell it from the origional. Back in the day the back cover was the shape of the case secured by 6 screws. My origional shown in the photo is still running strong after 40 or so years. I would really like to refresh the bezel dial which would return it to like new condition.
