“I wanted a change from my smart watch. While searching online I saw the Promaster Land model. I needed a durable watch for work, and this is it! Looks great and strong. Going to drop the smartwatch and stick with Citizen!”

“This watch has the typical Citizen high quality. But there are some glaring design flaws. Firstly is the digital display, it’s too small to see clearly, and it’s in the wrong position. The hands obscure it during certain hours. The backlight is a joke. It is so weak that it barely can be seen to illuminate the display in the dark. A much brighter LED should have been used. Another miss was not having Bluetooth to allow a phone to easily set the time and other features. Having to go through series of buttons pushes is more difficult than it needs to be. The bottom line is, Citizen should have put more time into its design. I’m not happy with it.”

“I have only had this watch for about a week but so far I like it. It took a little while to figure out the settings but not too bad. I ended up immediately replacing the strap with a green NATO strap which looks much better and it more comfortable...and secure. All of my mechanical automatic watches seem to be running either too slow or too fast and I don't have the desire to service them so that's why I went with the Promaster. The GMT function is nice to have and I think this watch will be my everyday go to.”

“The watch is great, however, be warned, know your size as it's a tight fit. I've contacted customer service a couple of times and it's taken them over a week to respond with the only option of purchasing another band, which I was prepared to do. Little did I know, it would be $144, and it's on backorder of 8 weeks! They didn't even offer a solution of how to replace the band. The back & forth is unnecessary - they can provide all the information and options in one message, but yet again, I need to respond to inquire (with follow-ups) and wait, who knows how long, for a response. I'd give 5 stars, if it wasn't for the lacking customer service. Again, the watch is great, nice features. I can wear it casually, or out to dinner.”

“I have a Citizen military style watch now that a bought several years ago. Just a plain watch with day/date. A great little watch. However, I could not get a replacement band from you so I went elsewhere. Not satisfied at all. So I decided to go with the Promaster Land U822. I think I am going to like it better than my other one which I love. The U822 has way more features then I will ever use but it has what I want and is beautiful and very cool. If it is half as good as my old one I will be extremely happy. The instructions were a little hard to understand, once I had them printed out, but I managed. I’m going to love this watch and I was able to catch it on a Black Friday sale. Thank you very much. Terry Whitehead.”

“Other than the band was a little stiff until it was broken it but otherwise, amazing. Easy to read day or night. The glow-in-the-dark hands and numbers are bright and last all night. Like the small digital calendar screen. Also easy to read. The calendar screen is back lit at the push of a button and turns off automatically. I have five watches and four of them are Citizen! This is my favorite!!!”
