“Absolutely love this watch. Its weight feels great. Looks great on the wrist. The lume is extremely bright. Set up is easy. Was fully charged and time was set when it arrived. Only thing that could be better is the light function and the facts the chronograph doesn’t show the time while it counts. I think it’s fine for the most part but I know some will hate it and say they can’t see the display in darkness. To me it’s fine, but Indiglos have better back light. In any case this watch is my new go to every day timepiece. I love automatics but hated winding them and setting every day. This is easy to use, beautiful and has all the functions I need.”

“I purchased the Citizen Promaster Land U822 because of its rugged design, hybrid analog-digital functionality, and Eco-Drive technology. On paper, it seemed like the perfect watch. In reality, one design flaw seriously affects its usability. The digital display is located near the top of the dial (around the 12 o’clock position), but it’s frequently blocked by the analog hands. Specifically, the display is partially or completely obstructed for about 5 to 6 hours per day, making it hard — if not impossible — to read. This happens twice a day, from 11 AM to 1 PM and again from 11 PM to 1 AM, as the hour hand passes through the display zone. On top of that, the minute hand enters that area every hour, further reducing visibility. For a watch that’s designed to offer the best of both analog and digital worlds, this is incredibly frustrating. The digital screen is useful (for the calendar, time, etc.), but it’s inaccessible during key times of the day when you might need a quick glance. Honestly, I expected more thoughtful design from Citizen, especially at this price point. A relocated display or even a “ghost hand” mode (like other watches have) would have solved the problem. Bottom line: Beautiful watch, solid technology, but a major ergonomic oversight. A shame.”

“Excellent piece all around except for sound. The alarm and countdown timer alarm tone is inaudible unless you take watch off wrist and hold the caseback against ear. Ridiculous deficiency on an excellent design.”

“I gifted myself this watch a few days ago and has kept all my other watches in a drawer since. It completely exceeded all my expectations and practically does everything that I need, not to mention it is very comfortable and not too thick. Every function is a must on someone who works in the oil field like myself. One of my favorite things about it is the different calendar displays to choose from, also love the strong lume it provides! Only two suggestions, one, I wish it had a positive display option as the Home Screen; I believe it is easier to read. Two, I wish it showed the chronograph numbers as opposed to showing “running”, when it’s on. I told my wife this will be my everyday watch for the next ten years, or longer! Thank you Citizen for making a watch that I bond with and suits my personality well. I cannot thank you enough!”

“This promaster watch will be using as my every day watch. It's excellent watch for that purpose than using my promaster diving watchs that may get damages. The watch is what I need in an every day use.”

“I purchased this watch based on its appealing look, modern easy to view dial, and because it is a Citizen. I really like this watch. It may be larger, but I am able to wear it comfortably. The LCD screen is easy to see as well.”
