This is a great travel watch. Looks good, is tough, and has a lot of useful features. Being able to display two times simultaneously is super useful, as is having different options to show for the calendar and world time features. The alarm tone is a little quiet, but other than that everything seems to work great. Having the detailed incoming light statistics available to see is pretty neat, it lets you understand what situations work well for charging the watch. Physically, the watch is well-constructed and looks really nice. The lume is decent and the backlight makes the screen readable. I'm not sure when I'd ever use the slide rule, but it works surprisingly well! My only wish is that it was a bit smaller. I have a small wrist and it's a large watch, especially by thickness. If Citizen released a 40mm watch with the same analog-digital module, I'd buy it.

I have over 200 Citizen watches in my collection, mostly eco-drives. This brand new Promaster is the one of the favorites in the collection. I have always loved the design of the Citizen watches. The look of any watch is a major driver for me. This watch looks fantastic and the digital display is actually readable without my glasses which is fantastic!! Love it!!!

This is a very nice watch. Looks good with formal or casual. Size is good. Little heavy. Clear analogue and single large digital displays. Multiple digital display options for time, date or both or second time. Push to light the digital display for a couple of seconds to see in the dark. Florescent analogy hands. Eco solar power. UTC time and battery level showing. Stopwatch. Cons, - Little heavy. - No one easy way to see ur second time on digital display. UTC is displayed on a small clock. - No Radio time keeping, as many other Citizen watches. So have to manually adjust.

I’m a big Citizen fan and love the Ecodrive, durability and precision of their watches. The U830 did not disappoint when I received it last week! But I did replace the bracelet immediately with a navy sailcloth band from Barton (quick release). I also ordered two $15 NATO straps so I can keep things fresh and easily dress the watch up or down for any occasion. I don’t see myself putting the stainless steel bracelet back on as I think it makes the watch heavy and look too generic.
