A classic never goes out of style. The newly reimagined Promaster Dive Automatic men’s watch by Citizen goes deeper into the history of the original version of this diving watch that was released in 1989 for the new generation of dive watch enthusiasts. A design element that stands out is the distinctive, serrated bezel design that was inspired by a “Fugu,” the Japanese name for pufferfish. Featuring a 3-piece, 44mm case, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and durable black polyurethane strap, the black easy grip aluminum ring surrounds the black dial and luminous hands and markers, while the case back features an engraving of a fugu or pufferfish. This technically advanced and stylish men’s sport watch powered by the motion of your wrist comes in an exclusive collector’s dive tank box and is ISO compliant with a screw-down crown and water resistant to 200 meters. Caliber 8204.

Nice looking watch. Just wish it had another band. The rubber band is perfect for the person who is in the water a lot. I am but I’m not, so it will be worn mainly as an everyday watch. Citizen makes a good product and I have a number of their watches. The only reason for the 4 is because I can’t choose another watch band.

I'm a longtime owner of Citizen watches and this new Promaster Dive Automatic is the 8th Citizen watch in my current collection, my 5th diver, and my FIRST Citizen automatic! (all others are Eco-drive) I am SUPER impressed by the looks of the watch! The yellow chapter ring against the black dial is striking and very noticeable. Comfort of the watch is also excellent on the included strap. The size is perfect for a dive watch IMO and fits my 7.75 inch wrist very well. I couldn't be happier with this dive watch and will be wearing it a lot!! Citizen watches in general are fantastic! The company makes EXCELLENT watches!

Love this Dive watch, Citizen's Automatic movements are fantastic (Miyota) I really love the Fugu groove pattern in the dial and enjoy the story behind it. The band is soft and comfortable, superb lume in the dark, the fit and finish is superior at this pricing to Seiko. Yeah, I'm very happy with my purchase! By the way, I got this the next day I purchased it! true perfection! Thanks Citizen :)

I really like this Citizen Fugu, I have too many eco-drives so I was looking for an automatic. Pros: Price was good from Citizen, the 20% Rakuten was the clincher! Color, Yellow is a great hi-vis color and I needed one in the collection. Dial, cool textures on dial do not take away from being easy to read dial. 200M WR, Sapphire (AR coated), all good! 44mm is great size for a diver like this. My only con is I don't really love rubber straps, this will look amazing on a NATO, Sailcloth, or maybe shark strap. I would recommend this watch.

I’m quite pleased with the watch. It is easy to read, wears comfortably, and is quite accurate. The supplied strap, however, was very difficult to fasten, and quite often pinched the underside of my wrist. I substituted another, which I had, and It now fastens easily and wears comfortably. I am happy with the purchase.

Excellent diving watch. I really love the textured dial and yellow against black contrast. The watch keeps excellent time and feels very rugged without any alignment or quality control issues I’ve seen with Seiko’s. The strap feels nice in terms of texture/quality, but I wish they had a shorter version for my average 7 inch wrist. That said, I still have 4 holes to spare on the strap. You may need a third-party strap if your wrist is 6 inches or smaller. The puffer fish design on the caseback is very cool, but I would love to see a transparent caseback on a future iteration and a 9 series movement instead of the 8. No complaints at this price point though.
