Dive in with the high-performance sport style of a fully luminous dial. The new Promaster Dive Automatic men’s watch by Citizen goes deeper into the history of the original version of this diving watch that was released in 1989 for the new generation of dive watch enthusiasts. A design element that stands out is the distinctive, serrated bezel design that was inspired by a fugu, the Japanese name for pufferfish. Featuring a fully luminous dial and a 3-piece, 44mm case with anti-reflective sapphire crystal and an all-black ion-plated stainless steel case and bracelet, this iconic men’s dive watch is a reimagining of the original. The black rotating bezel with a black easy-grip aluminum ring surrounds the easy-to-see fully luminous dial, while the case back features an engraving of a fugu or pufferfish. This technically advanced and automatic sport watch comes in an exclusive collector’s dive tank and is ISO compliant with a screw-down crown and water resistant to 200 meters. Caliber 8204.

Excellent time piece. Comfortable and classic. A watch that never goes out of style and is always dependable.

One big problem is the lume color on the hands being the same as the dial males it near impossible tell the time in anything but perfect situations.

I love the durability, however I kinda wish it would have come with a darker or red plate behind the hands and or hands that were illuminated all the time. Or hands that were a different color than the back plate. Since they are the same color it's kinda hard to see them in low light.

It's beautiful. Just the right weight. I'm not sure the "full face" lume is really that much better. (Might be better with light face and dark hands.) But it's easily readable in daylight. (And for a while with my aging eyes at night.)

I collected a couple of Citizen eco drive watches over the years. This one is an impulse buy. Thought I go back old school automatic for a change. If for anything, an homage to the bygone tech of old. At least I look at it that way. Accuracy is as good as can be expected from a mechanical watch. Runs -/+ 6 seconds in 24 hrs. Lags about a min after a week compared to one of my accurate citizen satellite watches. Style is great. Luminosity is bright but dial doesnt stay as bright (as featured in ads) for long. Haven't tested its namesake 'Diver's Watch'. Closest i got this to water is in the shower. I'll be updating this review after i take it out snorkeling. Very happy with purchase. A worthy addition to my automatic watch collection.

This watch at its lower price os just what i was hoping for. Two issues, 1 the laser cut design is very sharp edged- not what i expect from Citizen. 2 the hands are hard to distinguish in middle of the night (maybe oldman eyes). Complements: Great looking on the wrist, the case shape and contours are artistic, the coating is silky-smooth with a proper gloss, the wrist bamd escapement is simple yet very secure. Over a great buy!

Received a third replacement watch from Citizen. They were nice enough to calibrate it before shipping and I’m happy to say it is well within spec. Currently averaging +10 seconds a day. Updating my review to 4 stars, still -1 for the poor QC of the first two watches received.
