Give a nod to the past with the new Promaster Automatic Dive men’s watch by Citizen. Going deeper into the history of the original version of this diving watch, it was used by the Italian Navy and released in 1989 for the new generation of dive watch enthusiasts. Featuring 3-piece, 44mm case, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and black polyurethane strap, the dark blue rotating bezel with a black easy grip aluminum ring surrounds the dark blue dial and luminous hands and markers, while the case back features an engraving of a “Fugu”, Japanese for “pufferfish”. This technically advanced and automatic sport watch comes in an exclusive collector’s dive tank box and is ISO compliant with a screw-down crown and water resistant to 200 meters. Caliber 8204.

Love this thing!! First automatic for me did a decent amount of research for my budget and this seemed to be the most rugged. I work turf management and excavation so this thing isn’t going to have a good life and I gotta say I’ve already put this thing through hell for 2 weeks. Obv not a longevity review but I’ve already hit it twice where I was afraid to look for a scratch….to my surprise it looks absolutely perfect still. So far I’m impressed I will prob get a more comfortable silicone band but all in all very happy. I only take it off to shower so as far as I know it holds time great.

A beautiful watch. Looks good even on my larger frame. I wish it were 45mm and had at least a 22mm lug width. I prefer 24mm. I bought a black Citizen metal bracelet and replaced the narrow rubber one. It looks much better.

I've had the watch less than a month and I had to return it due to it being defective. I took it off at night and three different times I woke up and the watch was 3-4 hours off. I had to change the time three different times. The watch has been returned to be replaced or refunded and I have not heard anything from Citizen.

A great watch in looks and mechanics. I only wish the day/date was in a lighter more visible color. Outside of all that "Jazz", the watch is a 5 star!

This is an absolutely beautiful and well built watch. The colors are superb and the watch itself is functional as both a dive watch and for everyday wear. The SCUBA tank packaging adds to the overall excellence of this well-built watch.

The laser- cut back has shaved my arm hair off and is now carving into my arm. Very nice look and performance.

Great value in a dive watch. After reading and watching reviews of a number of auto dive watches I chose the Citizen Promaster. For the price you can't beat the style and performance. My watch gains about 5 seconds per day, which is well within specs. It also has a power reserve as published. The lumes are solid, especially after being exposed to sunlight or bright light. I especially like the placement of the crown, as I wear this on my left hand. Recently, I left this on a winder for a week, and it kept consistent time - no issues. Highly recommend this watch.

Got this for Christmas to replace my Luminox. I have had three Luminox watches that I used in the water often. Luminox quality has definitely declined. I asked for this watch due to it being automatic and the illuminating characters. The illumination lasts an hour compared to the indefinite Luminox illumination. I can wear the Promaster all day. Set it down overnight and by 6 o'clock that following day it has stopped. I bought a automatic winder that rotates every 6 mins. alternating directions for two minutes. Still will not hold time if it is set down for 24 hrs.
