Paying homage to the classic, the newly reimagined Promaster Dive Automatic men’s watch by Citizen goes deeper into the history of the original version of this diving watch that was released in 1989 for the new generation of dive watch enthusiasts. A design element that stands out is the distinctive, serrated bezel design that was inspired by a fugu, the Japanese name for pufferfish. Featuring a 3-piece, 44mm case, sapphire crystal and a silver-tone stainless steel case and bracelet, the black and blue rotating bezel with easy-grip aluminum ring surrounds the black dial and luminous hands and markers, while the case back features an engraving of a fugu or pufferfish. This technically advanced and stylish sport watch comes in an exclusive collector’s dive tank box and is ISO compliant with a screw-down crown and water resistant to 200 meters. Caliber 8204.

I bought the NY0129-58L version of this watch and like it very much. But, I could not find any reference about it on the Citizen website. I brought it to a watch/jeweler store but they couldn't figure out how to micro-adjust the clasp. (Not the bracelet) I haven't been able to wear it comfortably, because there is no information anywhere. Very disappointed.

We are sorry to hear that there is an issue with keeping time. This is highly unusual for an automatic watch that is wound by movement and the motion of your wrist. Automatic watches are popular for their accurate timekeeping, and when fully wound, your Promaster Dive Automatic will have 42 hours of run time. We would like you to be happy with your purchase, so please look for an email from us so that we can provide more information.

Love the look and the Bezel grips. The Date and day way too small. Only getting about 28 hours on a full wind, when not wearing. I thought it would run 40 hours.

For what it is, not bad at all. The bracelet is comfortable though a micro-adjustment would be nice for when the weather heats up and a little more room is desired. The screw down crown works a little hard and a power reserve gage would be helpful so you can better assess the need for winding. Other than that it is a nice everyday watch to use so I do not risk damaging my more expensive automatic watches.

I like the styling and functionality of the watch, but the sharp edges on the engraving need to be addressed. I have hairy arms and it made a bald spot where the watch rest. I will be bring it to a local jeweler to have them polish the sharp edges of the puffer fish engraving. Other than that I like the watch.

Nice classy watch but the band is a little ho hum. The clasp is about as plain as plain can be. The crown feels almost gritty when winding but seems to be smoothing out a bit with use. It seems to keep time well. All in all it’s a nice little watch.
