It was my partner's birthday present and he absolutely adored the knife forging experience. The teacher was very knowledgeableand helped him and the class throughoutthe experience. You do everything from hammering your own peace of metal to the wooden handle. Great experience

Tim and Archie were great. They explained and demonstrated everything in detail. You also get a basic understanding of the underlying process (forging, woodcarving etc.). I never felt lost on what to do. The class was very fun, chill and interesting. The instructors will help where they can (especially if you made a significant mistake during the process, to ensure you leave with a usable knife) but the end product will be your own, beautiful knife. I would totally recommend this experience.

Brilliant class, expertly taught. I was a complete newcomer to metal and woodwork but I quickly got to grips with it under very helpful guidance. It is a full on day but immensely satisfying and I'd heartily recommend.

What a fantastic day! Our instructors, Alex and Tim, were great. They took us through blade forging, handle carving, blade sharpening, handle fitting, and the final assembly all whilst explaining the theory to us and answering our questions. The workshop itself is a treat for craftspeople, full of tools, books, projects, and endless amounts of coffee. Nestled inside a working farm you can also say hello to the friendly animals whilst on lunch break. I'm excited to start carving with the knife I made myself and will always remember the great day I had making it with some lovely people.

Tim and Alex were exactly what you want in a course. They were funny, insiteful, supportive. Able to pitch skill and knowledge to all the differing experience level of the group so each person got to create their unique very sharp knife. They encouraged without interfering but were happy to help more hands on if asked and made the group relaxed throughout. We did over run but that was because they really wanted us all to make the best possible end product. You can tell both Tim and Alex are so skilled at their craft. Tim made special holders to improve the blade edging experience and I think it shows how dedicated he is to offering the best experience. We had our lunch break at local cafe nearby called two blackbirds - food was amazing there.
