This is a fun activity in Stepney, London

Ever wondered what was involved with keeping bees or wanted to find out more about these fascinating creatures? Then join your host Meetal and the rest of the Pearly Queen Honey Company for this exciting London beekeeping experience!

This experience will give you the unique opportunity to meet the bees in their East End apiary and learn about how they live, communicate and how important they are to us all. You will not only learn about how fascinating our flying friends' lives really are but also gain an insight into the role beekeepers play and get an understanding of what exactly they do.

What a wonderful way to spend a sunny Sunday morning. Such an amazing experience, I absolutely enjoyed myself and the time spent learning about bees, found out alot of fascinating things that I didn't know. Meetal's knowledge about bees was brilliant, and this class has definitely sparked my interest into hopefully keeping bees sometime in the future. Thank you Meetal for an amazing experience. Regards Freda

Very good, Very informative, highly recommend this class , although the hives could be moved into slightly bigger grass area as we had bit of trouble trying to see teacher and the hives , but apart from that the experience was excellent. Regards Paul Cardwell.

Was gifted this class for my birthday and had a great time! I learnt loads about bees (my work colleagues are likely now sick of me telling them bee facts - I’m not usually this weird, they are just very cool). The instructor was a fountain of knowledge and really lovely. I also tested my metal by getting close to the hive. Being able to suit up and hold some of the frames covered in bees was mildly terrifying but ver fascinating (don’t worry, you can get as close as you’re comfortable with) Would very much recommend!

Meetal gave a brilliant intro to beekeeping! We started with a very interesting (and at times funny!) talk about honeybees- including their behaviours, honey making, threats, colony life cycle etc. We then got to put on suits and see the bees up close and personal which was a brilliant experience. Thank you!

The experience was amazing! If you are curious about bees or want to get into the practice of exploring beehives in first hand, this is what you are looking for. I enjoyed putting on the protective suit and gloves, checking inside the hive, having the bees flying around me and observing how the honey is made. I even spot a bee hatching! The teacher was very lovely, explained a lot of information and answered every question we had. Definitely, worth It. Thank you!

I would definitely recommend this experience. Meetal was a great teacher and was able to answer all questions. We got to spend a good amount of time looking inside the beehive and also got to taste some different honeys at the end! Really fun experience for those who are interested in learning more about honeybees!
