Our teacher Liz was very good at demonstrating and explaining the basic crochet chains and stitches. Very easy to follow along, and Liz is very patient! There was 5 of us in the class, and I was able to make a long chain of stitches, 2 small rectangles of double crochet and a large square of triple crochet. Highly recommend the class for absolute beginners, would love to see other classes offered such as granny squares.

This was a beginners class in crochet, and three of the five of us were absolutely beginners. The teacher thus had to do quite a lot of one on one between us. She was very patient repeating and showing us the steps. The 90 minutes passed too quickly and I managed to learn to exchange my knitting skills for crochet handling. I learnt making the slip knot to then start the chain stitch and do double crochet. Treble crochet was also introduced. This needs practice at home and then I would need the follow up class to progress further.

Liz, was very informative & went through everything slowly & patiently. Liz went over things when asked to do so & made us feel very comfortable. Definitely worth going as I have now learnt the basics of crocheting & not to rush, be patient & get the feeling of the crochet hook & the tension of the wool first. Would like to do the granny square lesson next time, if there is one in the new year.

We had Bonnie at Westwood and, on our request, she showed us an alternative to the normal one. She was incredible patient and supportive and this was our 3rd class with her. Thanks Bonnie, really appreciated the extra length you went to.

The teacher was so helpful, encouraging and knowledgeable. She showed us how to hold the yarn and the hook correctly first, then with small steps we learnt different stitches, but only when we were comfortable. She even worked with us individually when we found certain things tricky. The teacher even printed extra sheets to help us. The cost of our session even provided us with 2 balls of yarn and a hook.
