This is a fun activity in Havant, Portsmouth

Get hooked on crochet with our beginner’s tutorial! Enjoy this relaxing craft as you get to grips with the simple skills you’ll need to stitch beautiful designs, with one of our craft experts on hand to guide you through the steps.

This workshop provides a wonderful introduction to the world of crochet, perfect if you’re a complete beginner. Through the course of the workshop, you’ll learn double stitch and treble stitch. You’ll also be shown how to create a chain, working in rows to create a tension square.

You’ll have a craft kit included, ensuring you’ve got the yarn and hook you need. It’s a great opportunity to pick up techniques you can then put into practice when you move on to other patterns.

Throughout the tutorial, you will be able to ask any crochet questions you may have.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Loved the hour 1/2 spent learning a new skill. It was very relaxed and the teacher was very patient. The class was small only 3 attendees which meant we all had plenty of one to one tuition (which I needed !) I will definately be doing more of this type of class.

Really enjoyed the small group setting for my cricket class. After having only dabbled with crochet, it was really useful to sit down with an expert and be guided. Thank you. I will be back.

My friend and I attended this course together and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tutor, Fiona, was lovely, she was informative, patient and her demonstrations were clear and concise. I was able to come home and replicate what she had taught us and my friend and I are looking forward to attending another course once we have practiced what we learnt so that we can progress further. Thank you

Friendly teacher who moves around to show/help each person in turn as needed, the time whizzed by and we got a nice little kit of two yarns, hook and tote bag to keep it in to take home with us so we could continue to practise straight away. We all learnt how to double crochet in the time with worksheets to remind us of all the steps to take home too. If there hadn’t been two children in our group who needed a little more time, would likely have learnt more. Overall the lesson was great fun, and I’d say value for money too. Would def do again.
