Wow where do I start, I certainly won’t be returning. I have never met such a rude lady as the one teaching us, she made me feel absolutely stupid, when I asked for help , she asked me if I’m actually an adult. It didn’t help that she was convinced I wasn’t booked in even though I had the booking on my phone, she made such a fuss. I came away so downhearted and feel sorry for my mum who bought this as a gift for me as it’s been something I’ve wanted to learn for a long time. I’m sorry but I won’t be recommending hobbycraft classes in the future.

A most enjoyable course in excellent venue with garden centre and coffee shop nearby. Our tutor was most helpful and patient as she took us through each step giving lots of encouragement. Equipment was provided and of good quality and the workshop was an excellent price!! Looking forward to my next crochet workshop.

The teacher was helpful and patient and showed us each the basics of crochet. I feel confident to practice at home and will be back for more lessons with Denise.

I was fed up just watching TV without doing something else constructive so tried to knit my little granddaughter a cardigan, which was clearly too complicated to do while watching TV at the same time. So I thought I know I used to crochet that will work better but I couldn’t believe that I’d forgotten how to even do anything more than a chain - we are talking 40 years but even so I was disappointed with myself. As a member of Hobbycraft I wondered if they held courses and to my delight I found they did have a crochet class. I booked easily online, the cost is so reasonable and the pack you receive must be worth more than the lesson itself. My teacher on the day was Jay, she was so patient and friendly. She quickly got my confidence back and before I knew it I was crocheting again. I remembered I’m unable to hold the crochet hook as you are meant to but Jay was so kind and said just do it the way you can. I’m so thrilled that I’ve got the skill of crochet back (although there’s plenty of room for improvement!) I can’t thank Jay and Hobbycraft again for a wonderful afternoon and for restoring my confidence. I can’t recommend the classes at Hobbycraft Bournemouth enough. And the parking at the store is great too.
