This is a fun activity in Earlsfield, London

Get hooked on crochet with our beginner’s tutorial! Enjoy this relaxing craft as you get to grips with the simple skills you’ll need to stitch beautiful designs, with one of our craft experts on hand to guide you through the steps.

This workshop provides a wonderful introduction to the world of crochet, perfect if you’re a complete beginner. Through the course of the workshop, you’ll learn double stitch and treble stitch. You’ll also be shown how to create a chain, working in rows to create a tension square.

You’ll have a craft kit included, ensuring you’ve got the yarn and hook you need. It’s a great opportunity to pick up techniques you can then put into practice when you move on to other patterns.

Throughout the tutorial, you will be able to ask any crochet questions you may have.

Keeping everyone safe
At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

A fantastic class. Jackie was an excellent teacher who was very patient and helpful. She is really passionate about crochet! She helped build our confidence and took time to help each student. I enjoyed this class so much, that I plan to go back for more crochet workshops.

Great class from Jacqui, our lovely (and very patient!) teacher. Everything we needed was provided plus tips on going forward with what we'd learnt. With a bit of practice I'll be booking the granny square class next. Highly recommended!

Jacqui was a very calm teacher. She explained it very well & didn’t rush us. I liked the fact that there was only 4 of us in the class so had plenty of opportunity to have 1-1 help when needed.
