This is a fun activity in West Norwood, London

We would love to invite you to our 5* rated Wax carving ring making class in South London! Led by jeweller, Tilly Sudsbury.

Please read the following carefully before booking :)

Wax is an incredible tool for jewellery making. We use a specific type of hard wax designed for making jewellery, that allows you to make a model of your ring. You can sculpt, carve, melt, build and so much more, to create your desired effect, and at the end of the class, your model will be complete and ready for casting, where you can choose some gemstones and other additions.

Then, we take it away for ‘casting’ in your choice of silver or gold, which is the process that turns your wax ring, in to a metal ring! We will give you a more detailed brief of this during the class so you understand exactly how this happens.

Our classes are 3 hours long, and are designed so that you can make something that you have designed yourself, though we also have samples and can chat through ideas with you, in case you need some more inspiration. You can always reach out to us before your class if you have questions about your design.

All materials will be provided, and no experience is necessary!

What we offer
Workshop ticket - £55
this includes your 3 hour experience, materials and tools, demonstration of tools and guidance through each step, refreshments including prosecco or alternatives and the best snacks.
Your ring cast in recycled sterling silver (up to 10g) - £80
*if you ring weighs more than 10g, we will charge a small additional fee depending on the weight of your finished piece.
This includes the silver ring, finishing and size check, so your ring is returned perfect and ready to wear! You will be charged for this on the day of the workshop once you have made your ring and we can offer split payment options. Lead times are currently 6 weeks.

Casting in gold - dependent on the weight of your finished piece, you can upgrade to 9ct, 14ct or 18ct gold.
Stones - from £20
18ct Gold vermeil plating (on sterling silver) - £45

Private workshops are priced differently, please request your preferred date to find out more.

We only use recycled metals and all of our casting is completed locally in London.

My husband and I had the best day making rings on our 30 year anniversary, which we were planning on buying anyway ❤ A lovely space to work in, great teacher and mimosas and pastries all round; super happy - just brilliant!

Tilly was a great teacher and guided us through each step. She gave us helpful tips to make our rings so close to the designs and provided a chill & friendly environment with lots of snacks and drinks. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

We loved this class, the best way to spend a Saturday morning! Tilly was a lovely host and teacher, and so helpful, guiding us through the techniques to make a ring using a wax casting method. It was simple and straightforward to create a piece from wax, and I was delighted by my result. Can’t wait to see the ring when it’s back from casting! Thank you

Wonderful! I was able to learn how to make a ring and for some skills that I would likely not be able to master in 2 hrs, the teacher was pleased to help. Truly made my day and I love everything about this workshop! Highly recommend.

Tilly was welcoming and friendly. She was a very knowledgable and patient teacher who gave clear instructions. She gave tips on how to achieve my design from the images I showed using the tools provided. The class was 3 hours long but time flew by so quickly. However, I managed to finish a ring design but rushed towards the end. The class was small and cosy and refreshments were provided too. Can’t wait to see how the ring turned out! Note: Definitely look up inspiration in advance so you don’t spend time during the workshop thinking of a design.
