If you're a fan of Thai food and would like to learn to cook authentic, delicious versions of these crowd-pleasing dishes yourself, come along to this cooking class in Birmingham and enjoy making a flavoursome Thai menu.
Hosted by Tina, an Indonesian native and experienced chef, you'll take your place at your own workstation as you follow along with step-by-step cooking instructions. Giving you a bit of cultural and culinary history about Thailand, Tina will impart some useful cooking skills that'll give you the confidence to make these dishes at home.
During the class, you'll learn:
- Understanding Asian spices and how to combine to make spice pastes.
- How to balance flavours.
- Knife skills.
Ideal for all skill levels, you'll learn at your own pace as you chop, slice and sizzle your way to an unforgettable meal. You'll then enjoy what you've made along with your fellow students, or bring it home with you to share with your lucky friends and family.
Menu (subject to availability and seasonality):
- Chicken pad Thai. A popular Thai street food dish of stir fried rice noodles with chicken breast, topped with nuts, spring onion and fresh crunchy beansprouts.
- Thai green curry with fragrant jasmine rice. An authentic version of this classic dish, garnished with freshly chopped coriander and thinly sliced chilli.
