How many times have you found a ring you like and it doesn't fit? Or it's not quite what you are looking for? In this two-and-a-half-hour practical silver jewellery making workshop you will learn the basics of making silver jewellery, using sterling silver and all the tools of the trade.
Hosted by a local expert crafter, you'll learn each step to making your ring, from sizing to hammering, adding texture as you go for a wholly unique finish. You'll enjoy practical demonstrations and hands-on experience as you learn more about what goes into making silver jewellery.
During the class, you'll learn how to:
- Thread a piercing saw
- Size your rings
- How to cut your ring to size
- Solder using a blow torch
- Shape using a hammer and mandrel
- File and finish
- Add detail and texture
You'll have the full support of your teacher throughout the workshop, making this a brilliant class for all skill levels. At the end, you will have your very own rings to take home as reminders of your newfound skills, ready to cherish forever or give as thoughtful gifts to friends and family.
Please note, this is an adults class. Over 16’s only as we are using dangerous tools.
