I recently attended a painting class located in Finsbury Park, and it was a really enjoyable experience. Upon entering the premises, it felt like stepping into a completely different and welcoming space, nicely set up with all the painting materials ready to use. One of the highlights was the variety of pictures available — you could create artwork that closely resembled the examples provided, which was very satisfying. The class is largely self-led, so you get to choose what you want to paint. While there isn’t a lot of structured guidance, the instructor is always happy to assist with things like mixing colours and offering tips when asked. This balance of independence and support worked well for me. The first couple of hours were particularly relaxing and fun. Towards the end, there was a bit of pressure to finish the painting, as we needed to take our work home immediately. The instructor kindly extended the session by 5–10 minutes, which was helpful, though a heads-up about the timing would have made it less stressful. Overall, it’s a great activity to do alone or with friends, though I would recommend it especially for anyone looking to spend a few hours enjoying a creative, self-paced experience. The class provides all the materials you need and leaves plenty of room for creativity, making it a very worthwhile and enjoyable activity.

4 of us attended a BYOB paint and sip session at Finsbury Park Painting Club for a hen party and had the best time! Mel was fantastic, helping to keep the event a secret from the hen until the rest of the party arrived. She was really helpful when trying to choose what to paint from the inspo pics and was giving us all advice on how to approach our pieces and what colours to use. She created such calm and friendly atmosphere. Massive thank you Mel! It was so nice being able to bring a few bottles and snacks along to enjoy too. We would all love to do it again in the future!

I went there as a solo and i did make some new friends. Maia , the teacher , was very kind and helpful. She helped me adding some special touch to my painting but still kept it my style. It was a wholesome evening, a relaxing one as well. Would definitely drop by again.
