Need a break? Come along, relax and paint at this fun and friendly paint and sip class in Edinburgh!

Never held a paintbrush before? Don't worry, this totally beginner-friendly art class will take you from start to finish with a whole load of helpful tips and tricks along the way – you'll be so amazed at what you can create with a just little bit of guidance.

Enjoy putting paint to canvas as you sip away with your favourite beverage – that's right, there's a fully-stocked bar ready to quench your thirst (it also serves food for the peckish painters among us!).

At the end of this relaxing and creative experience, you'll have your own handpainted masterpiece to take home and admire – what's not to love?

Please note:
- This event is not BYOB but the bar will be open.
- As our venues are licensed and serve alcohol, some may be restricted to guests aged 18 and over. If you are planning to attend with anyone under the age of 18, please check directly with the venue before purchasing tickets.

Please note for private bookings:

We painted a "matisse" cat that wasn't even the actual painting but a poor version of it. And the teacher was painting a different version to the one she gave us to paint. Also the atmosphere was veeeeery awkward, little to no direction was given, painting was instructed in a weird order ie painted a yellow cat first before the background?? Also to top it off we weren't given bags for our paintings so I ended up ruining my jacket and bag with acrylic paint - canvas bags were always provided in previous sip and paint sessions I attended. Would not recommend at all. Also note it says paint and sip but the sipping is not included in the £30 fee - only a cheap canvas and 5 blobs of poor quality paint. Not worth it at all!?

I took part in the Mount Fuji Sip and Paint at the Alchemist in Edinburgh. I really enjoyed the relaxed nature of the session and it was nice to feel like I was capable of creating a piece of artwork despite being an awful artist! The only thing I would say is that a two-hour session felt quite rushed and that three hours may allow for more time to finish off and socialise!

The venue and set up was lovely, it was a really chill and supportive atmosphere from both the teacher and the people in the class. It was a great positive way to spend an evening and we got quite a lot of flexibility about doing things in our own way and improvising, as well as being shown the basics and how to do it just like the main brief.
