This is a fun activity in Chiswick, London

If you're keen to explore your creativity and want to feel more at home with yourself, come along to this mandala drawing workshop and enjoy a meditative, purposeful art experience.

In the ancient Sanskrit language of Hinduism and Buddhism, mandala means “circle.”

Traditionally, a mandala is a geometric design or pattern that represents the cosmos or deities in various heavenly worlds. Creating a mandala is a form of ‘artistic meditation’, which involves a careful, quiet, prayerful kind of attention, helping you:

- Feel more balanced and centred in yourself
- Be a bridge between your conscious and unconscious self
- Improve concentration and develop mindfulness
- Enhance your sense of awareness and perception of shapes and patterns

In this beginner-friendly drawing workshop, you'll learn how to create a mandala design using geometry, with the traditional tools of a compass, straight-edge, pencil and pen.

In your journey of creating beautiful art, you extend your curiosity outwards from the centre and inwards within yourself. The process is in itself a wonderful metaphor for Life's journey: How we navigate pathways and intersections, follow lines of interest, pause to step back and contemplate the whole, and trust the gradual unfolding without knowing the end result.

So come join in for a surreal experience, which is fun and engaging over a cup of coffee!

This workshop is held in a beautiful cafe, where you can purchase coffee or tea of your choice at additional cost! (Optional)

Additionally, you can purchase my Mandala Journey Workbook, specially designed and curated with 100+ patterns to practice your art and 20 mandala grid templates for you to create your own stunning Mandala artwork at home. The workbook can be purchased alongside the workshop. (Optional).

I wasn't sure what to expect but the tutor was welcoming and reassuring. Her explanations were clear and she was encouraging. The time passed quickly as the drawing was absorbing but I was never made to feel rushed. She was very generous with her time and sharing her tips and skills. I would throughly recommend.

Came not knowing what to expect, however we were very happy with our experience and the mandalas that we created with Ekta’s guidance. It was a very enjoyable and calm session, and 2 hours flew past quickly. Ekta provides the guidance and template for those less confident with their art skills but those with better abilities can freestyle and take their mandala one step further. It was also great to see Ekta’s own art and what can be achievable over time with more practice.

I spent the most wonderful Saturday afternoon at a mandala workshop, and I’m still feeling the calm! Huge thanks to the truly expert guidance of Ekta from @storybeyondlines - the mandala I created is something I’m so proud of. It was such a fantastic way to truly relax and reconnect with myself. For those who don’t know, the intricate patterns of mandalas aren’t just beautiful; there’s some fascinating science behind their calming effects. The symmetrical designs can help to focus the mind, reducing mental clutter and promoting a meditative state. The repetition of shapes and colours can also be incredibly soothing, helping to lower stress and anxiety levels. It’s like art therapy in a circle! ‍♀️✨ Highly recommend giving a mandala workshop a try if you’re looking for a creative and mindful experience. Thank you again, Ekta! ❤️ #mandala #mandalaworkshop #mindfulness #relaxation #creative #arttherapy #wellbeing #innerpeace #reconnect #ekta @classbento_uk #classbento_uk

Great class with Ekta, she is a lovely teacher, very patient and encouraging. I hadn't done any art since I was a child in school but I'm delighted with my mandala and will look to do some more. This is a great thing to do to get your creative flow going, either alone, with a friend or in a group as a team exercise. I highly recomment it.
