The wood working class at The Rivershop was brilliant. A great balance between direct guidance and safety with tools, and freedom to create something unique as individuals in the workshop. Richard who ran the class was both incredibly knowledgable and ran the class in a way that was fun and engaging. Would highly recommend!

I went there without any prior experience in woodwork in general. The workshop was a great intro to basics, machinery and techniques. The whole process includes 6-7 different steps which means it’s not repetitive. Dan and Richard were very helpful and eager to explain and give you everything you need. Highly recommend and I’ll probably be going back for another workshop. Napoleon

This was a great way to spend a Sunday morning and time just flew by! Right balance of demonstrating the right use of the tools for safe operation but also allowing for autonomy and trying things out yourself. Would recommend this to anyone at any level.

Absolutely loved this class! I went with my sister as a Christmas present, and it made for such a fun memorable and interesting day. Richard was a fantastic teacher, great at explaining things and a genuinely lovely and funny guy. He also nailed the balance of supporting us through all the steps and letting us have our own autonomy throughout the process. 11/10, it was so much fun and I could not recommend more! And now my sister and I both have gorgeous new bread boards! Would love to come back and make a whole set of them! :)
