This is a fun activity in Crawley, Redhill

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a One-to-one and ask any questions you have about crochet. Stuck on a project? Need help with understanding a pattern? Trying to get to grips with a new stitch? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for crocheters looking for that next step on from our Beginners' Workshops, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a crochet pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Keeping everyone safe
At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

It was really good. Rachel was my teacher. She was very patience with me and understood and explained to me why I struggled with the crochet. Therefore, she taught me how to the basic technique and the way to hold the yarn. As I want to make a little doll or little accessories for my boy’s soft toys, it may take a bit while for me to do it. However, it’s definitely worth to have a 121, I will book another session again once I got the technique for what I learnt today!!

Brilliant one to one crochet class with Debi at Hobbycraft Crawley. I am an absolute beginner and was amazed at how much we covered. Debi is a brilliant tutor, very patient and very knowledgeable. I am now at home practising the basics and actually think I can follow an easy pattern and am looking forward to attempting a few easy items. Will book another class when I am ready to progress further.

Fantastic workshop at Hobbycraft Crawley. Debbie was amazingly patient and helped me to undo the bad habits I'd picked up along the way, teaching me to do a magic ring and helping me understand the basics of crochet. Would definitely recommend.

Deborah was a kind gentle teacher who was extremely clear with instructions. I am now able to crochet. You are also given typed explanations with diagrams which I am already using. Well worth taking a one to one session.
