This is a fun activity in London Bridge, London

Just a two-minute walk from London Bridge station, discover the calming joy of pottery at Maison S.Sommet.

Perfect for complete beginners, this relaxed 2-hour wheel throwing class is a chance to unwind, get messy and create your own functional ceramics in our warm and welcoming studio. Guided step by step by our expert teachers, you'll learn the foundations of wheel throwing before making your own cup, bowl or ceramic vessel. Even complete beginners are often surprised by what they create in a single session.

We provide everything you need including unlimited clay, tools and aprons — just dress comfortably and trim your nails beforehand for the best experience. The studio is fully air conditioned, so it stays comfortable whatever the weather is doing outside.

At the end of the session, choose your favourite pieces to be professionally glazed and kiln-fired in either our signature Cobalt Blue or Clear stoneware glaze, for £10 per piece. Finished ceramics are food-safe, microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe, and are usually ready for collection within 4-5 weeks.

Perfect for date nights, birthdays, friends or solo creatives looking to try something new in London. Bring your own favourite drinks along to top off the experience.

Clay, music, good company and your new favourite mug.

“Really lovely and fun experience! Instructions were clear and light hearted, so no pressure to make an expert Raman bowl ! All the staff were lovely and had a great vibe, same as the rest of the people doing it. So if you like a chill time "trying" to make something fun, give it a go!”

“I did the pottery with my friend on the 5th April 2026 11:00am, to celebrate her birthday. We were around 20 or more people and there was only two instructors. They explained everything very quickly and whenever asked questions they were giving attitude and telling people off because they would wash their hands to drink some water or answer their phone. Not sure who is here to blame either facilitators or managers who left two staff members for a big group.”
