This is a fun activity in Bankside, London

AIR CONDITIONED!
Just a 2-minute walk from London Bridge station, discover the calming joy of pottery at Maison S.Sommet.

Perfect for complete beginners, this relaxed 2-hour wheel throwing class is a chance to unwind, get messy and create your own functional ceramics in our warm and welcoming studio. Guided step-by-step by our expert teachers, you’ll learn the foundations of wheel throwing before creating your own cup, bowl or ceramic vessel. Even complete beginners are often surprised by what they create in just one session.

We provide everything you need including unlimited clay, tools and aprons — just dress comfortably and trim your nails beforehand for the best experience.

At the end of the session, select your favourite pieces to be professionally glazed and kiln-fired in your choice of our signature Cobalt Blue or Clear stoneware glaze for £10 per piece. Finished ceramics are food-safe, microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe, and are usually ready for collection within 4–5 weeks.

Perfect for date nights, birthdays, friends or solo creatives looking to try something new in London. Bring your own favourite drinks to top your experience!

Our studio is fully equipped with air conditioning — ideal for escaping the heatwave.

Clay, music, good company and your new favourite mug.

The teacher was so kind and knowledgeable, really attentive to each of us and made the whole experience special! Had a lot of fun learning something for the first time, and a great deal of appreciation for how much dedication it probably took the teacher to learn this craft :) Thanks for a great class.

The teacher is great and everything was lovely. I only want to mention the location which isn’t the easiest to access.
