This is a fun activity in London Bridge, London

Just a two-minute walk from London Bridge station, discover the calming joy of pottery at Maison S.Sommet.

Perfect for complete beginners, this relaxed 2-hour wheel throwing class is a chance to unwind, get messy and create your own functional ceramics in our warm and welcoming studio. Guided step by step by our expert teachers, you'll learn the foundations of wheel throwing before making your own cup, bowl or ceramic vessel. Even complete beginners are often surprised by what they create in a single session.

We provide everything you need including unlimited clay, tools and aprons — just dress comfortably and trim your nails beforehand for the best experience. The studio is fully air conditioned, so it stays comfortable whatever the weather is doing outside.

At the end of the session, choose your favourite pieces to be professionally glazed and kiln-fired in either our signature Cobalt Blue or Clear stoneware glaze, for £10 per piece. Finished ceramics are food-safe, microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe, and are usually ready for collection within 4-5 weeks.

Perfect for date nights, birthdays, friends or solo creatives looking to try something new in London. Bring your own favourite drinks along to top off the experience.

Clay, music, good company and your new favourite mug.

“Really nice class, teacher was lovely. Just be prepared for paying extra £5-£-10 for the pieces you make, which I wasn’t expecting. Overall, great experience!”

“It was such a lovely experience! Really helpful and insightful into the strangely cathartic world of pottery haha. Will be coming back for sure!”

“Very good class and great teacher Sharol! It would have been nice to have the teacher have a wheel in front so we could follow her instructions and make the pottery at the same time (just a personal preference) really enjoyed the experience though”
