This is a fun activity in London Bridge, London

Just a two-minute walk from London Bridge station, discover the calming joy of pottery at Maison S.Sommet.

Perfect for complete beginners, this relaxed 2-hour wheel throwing class is a chance to unwind, get messy and create your own functional ceramics in our warm and welcoming studio. Guided step by step by our expert teachers, you'll learn the foundations of wheel throwing before making your own cup, bowl or ceramic vessel. Even complete beginners are often surprised by what they create in a single session.

We provide everything you need including unlimited clay, tools and aprons — just dress comfortably and trim your nails beforehand for the best experience. The studio is fully air conditioned, so it stays comfortable whatever the weather is doing outside.

At the end of the session, choose your favourite pieces to be professionally glazed and kiln-fired in either our signature Cobalt Blue or Clear stoneware glaze, for £10 per piece. Finished ceramics are food-safe, microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe, and are usually ready for collection within 4-5 weeks.

Perfect for date nights, birthdays, friends or solo creatives looking to try something new in London. Bring your own favourite drinks along to top off the experience.

Clay, music, good company and your new favourite mug.

“Tanvi you were amazing. My parents and I absolutely loved the day spent with you pottering. We had such a laugh and instructions well explained. The place was a little hard to find due to closed roads. However such a quirky and welcoming space. So much time to create amazing pieces. I can't wait for the pieces to arrive to us. Would highly recommend booking a class with Tanvi.”

“Attended a Sunday class with my mum and sister. None of us had ever done this before and what a class it was. Tanner was our teacher and she made the class lots of fun! Instructions and demonstration were clear and simple to follow, she was always on hand to help and made the experience fantastic! We all managed to make several small pots/vases and are excited to go and pick them up soon!!! Loved the class and would 100% recommend :)”

“This was a great experience! Anita was fantastic. She first explained the procedures and then let us try by ourselves before coming around and helping us one by one. Perfect balance between support and freedom to try and make mistakes. I really enjoyed it thank you!”
