The axe making workshop was excellent, really hands on and with great instruction. I'd highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in forging or just making things in general. Also makes a wonder gift. I've also done the fire poker and bottle opening workshop before and it was great. I'll definitely be back for future classes.

Great. Alex was very cool. Class lasted way longer than 2pm, and was full on. Take snacks. It’s a little hard to find (round the back of the Greggs) but was fab. My axe is amazing. Super easy to get the voucher, reminder emails made it super easy.

Pretty much everything I expected it to be, which was hitting hot things with hard things. The team was great, explained everything well and now I have an axe that can chop things. If you've got an afternoon spare, I can't recommend this enough.

Fantastic way to spend a day, you'll love the process of creating your own axe. If you're on the fence about trying this just do it, you'll love it.

Dan was friendly, informative and delivered a fun session. This is my second time at the forge and would recommend it to anyone. Working with your hands and understanding how metalwork works is a great way to start the day. Thanks Dan.

I have no experience in blacksmithing but wanted a shot anyway. I had a great time smithing an axe head. Sandy is a good teacher and knows his stuff. It took about 5 hours to finish the axe head and there wasn't time to fit a handle but Sandy offered to finish it and deliver it next week. Would recommend for anyone curious. Just be prepared for a little workout!
