Relax with a perfectly mixed cocktail featuring one of our award-winning spirits as our head distiller, Sasha, guides you through the science and art of distilling, revealing the key principles and hidden secrets of flavour creation that are essential in creating great-tasting gin and aquavit. From there, you’ll move on to explore the core botanicals of each spirit and learn about their complex flavour profiles and rich history.
Next comes perhaps the most exciting part of the class – recipe creation and distillation! With expert guidance, choose from over 40 herbs, spices, and peels to create your perfect aquavit or gin. Then, put theory into practise and take on the mantle of distiller as you produce your spirit yourself on a state-of-the-art nano still. Discover the myriad of flavours that are created as your spirit slowly becomes a reality and craft something truly unique. We will even keep your recipe on file should you ever wish to order additional bottles!
With your freshly distilled aquavit or gin before you, it’s time to give it a name and blend it to bottling strength. Then all that remains is to label, stopper, and seal your new creation so it’s ready to take home and enjoy! The experience is capped off with a guided tasting of a variety of Vintersol products and perhaps even have the chance to sample a few experimental batches not yet available to the public.
