The workshop begins with a tour of Lorenzo's kitchen. Here, participants are introduced to the various ingredients and machinery essential in the gelato making process, offering them a foundational understanding of the craft.
Lorenzo, with his extensive knowledge, explains the unique characteristics and the differences between gelato and sorbet, from ingredients and texture to the methods of preparation. In addition to practical skills, the workshop also covers the history of gelato, providing a cultural and historical context to this beloved dessert.
Participants then have the hands-on experience of churning ice cream together. This interactive portion allows attendees to apply their newfound knowledge in a practical setting, guided by Lorenzo's expertise.
One of the most enjoyable parts of the workshop is the ice cream tasting, where attendees indulge in a variety of flavours, experiencing the richness and depth of authentic Italian gelato.
Participants will take home 1 Tub (455ml) of ice cream in a flavour of their choice.
