This is a bespoke, mini pottery throwing workshop with professional artist and teacher Chloe Augusta, where you will get close attention and quality teaching. Set in a creative hub in a rustic, beautiful country setting just outside Chester, this warm and welcoming workshop will teach you a truly wonderful and rewarding craft.
Focused on the joy of learning, these workshops will give you the gift of some simple techniques to create your own pots, starting with a bowl and moving on to a vase or jug. Enjoy all this with Izzy the pug to keep you company.

Fablious. Totally fablious. Chloe is lovely and encouraging and patient and obviously so knowledgeable and talented herself. She made us feel so welcome I can't speak too highly. Loved it, can't wait to go back for the glazing.

“I had booked the Pottery Throwing workshop as a surprise for my girlfriend and we both absolutely loved it! Chloe was an amazing teacher and was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and patient throughout. I have had previous experience with throwing however Chloe was able to give new tips and I learnt so much more than I had previously. I cannot thank Chloe enough for such a wonderful experience, if you are thinking about booking then definitely go for it, We 100% would recommend and will definitely be back! Meeting Izzy the pug was another highlight and she was so adorable and friendly! Chloe offered to take lots of pictures at the end and we didn't feel rushed to leave despite overrunning the 2 hour time slot. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!”

“This pottery class was absolutely brilliant from start to finish! The small group size (just four of us) made it really personal and gave us plenty of time on the wheel. It was so helpful to watch others go first and learn from their techniques before giving it a go yourself. Chloe was an outstanding teacher – friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and super patient with us all. I’d never tried pottery before, but she explained everything clearly and made us feel confident every step of the way. By the end of the session, we each managed to create a bowl, a mug, and a little pot – I was amazed at what we achieved in just one class! If you’re on the fence about trying it, just go for it. It’s such a fun and rewarding experience. Top tip: bring a towel and wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy – the clay really does get everywhere! Can’t wait to come back for another session!”

“We had a great time learning how to throw and using the wheel. With Chloes expert help, she provided us with friendly encourage and tuition. By the end of the session, we'd managed to make a bowl and a mug each. Highly recommend it!”

“Chloe is a great teacher. Very patient, unrushed and attentive as she took an absolute beginner and someone who’d not thrown a pot for 30 years, through the basics. We were both amazed at the pots we achieved. Excellent value for money and a great way to spend an afternoon.”

“Absolutely brilliant session. We had a pottery throwing session and had never done it before. Chloe is a brilliant teacher , very patient and explained everything brilliantly. We ended up managing to make some items which were really proud of. We had such a great time and are going to have another go. Lovely to meet Izzy as well . Great messy fun !! Thanks so much .”
