Welcome to our Pottery Wheel Fun-damentals Class! Get ready to unleash your creativity in this 2-hour session where you'll dive into the exciting world of crafting bowls and cylinders. 1 hour at the potter’s wheel and 1 hour hand building. Our super friendly and experienced tutor will be there to hold your hand through every spin!

Expect to whip up approximately 2-4 dazzling pieces during this class—it’s a blast for beginners! Plus, it's a group affair with a maximum of 8 fellow pottery enthusiasts. Bring a buddy along or come solo to mingle with new friends who share your love for clay and creativity.

What's included:
- Instruction by a professional potter
- 2 hours of guided learning and making
- By the end of the taster class, you will have 2 masterpieces made by you (one thrown on the wheel and another one hand-built)
- You can choose if you would like to enjoy just the experience of the making process £45, or you can choose pots you would like to have fired at the end of the session (£2.50 per pot), and if you would like to decorate and glaze there is an extra fee (£10ph)
- You can come and pick up your item(s) within 21 days of your event day, and we keep it for another 30 days.

Once you have picked them up from our making studio, you also have the option to take them to our painting studio (booked separately) where you can decorate them. The charge for this is £10 per hour (an extra £5 for paint and sip).

This class was a lot of fun! Nobody in the class had ever done this before and our teacher was amazing- he was so patient and explained everything so well. He came to help me on several occasions with my clay wheel when I fortune mess. So much fun, would definitely recommend this class

The demos and explanations were put over very well throughout the entire workshop time. The group of 8 were made to feel welcome. This was a good introduction to pottery making.

Really enjoyed experience. Not long but really intense. Long enough for a taster with great support to enable us to produce somethingto keep.

Really enjoyable. Liked the wheel throwing more than the hand building. It was a present and I enjoyed it so much I would go to more classes.

Really enjoyed the session on the pottery wheel and actually thought that was all we had Second session felt rushed. Wishes I’d have known in advance there was a creative session so I could have planned what to make. Fred was fantastic as a teacher

The wheel throwing session was great fun and Fred was very patient. However it takes a while to get used to the "feel" of the clay and learn all the steps so I would have preferred longer on this element. The hand building is much easier, but to have more time on the actual doing, think about what you would like to make beforehand.
