The teacher Charlie, even though inexperienced in pottery, was lovely, friendly and attentive. The clay, tools, aprons - good set up and attention to details. It would be nice to be able to get to the room a few minutes before the start of the class to settle in. We all were waiting outside. Nine minutes to two, a lady from our group, asked the bar staff to go to the toilet. She received NO, wait until the start of the workshop at 2pm. We knew the lady travelled from far away. Five to two we asked the staff again to let her in. Received another NO. At 2pm the door was open, it took another 15-20 minutes for people to make decisions and get their drinks. Throughout the workshop the music at the bar was horrifically loud. Charlie talked to us individually, it was difficult to hear him. Our group of people was beautiful, shame about the atmosphere around us. I came home exhausted even though I enjoyed my hands in the clay. Clearly the bar strolling is not my thing, neither sculpting in a noisy bar.

A special afternoon doing something totally different today, none of my group had ever done any pottery so this was all totally new. Charlie was our host and was very friendly and professional. He took time to show us lots of skills and spend time individually helping us all along the way. We all made several pieces and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My only complaint was the venue weren't very accommodating at the beginning.

An enjoyable afternoon. The venue was great, the teacher was welcoming and helpful. Our group had bought as a surprise birthday gift experience and it was a huge success. We could all make different clay objects to our own abilities. Good fun.

While the tutor was sweet, if you call it a Sip and Sculpt class, there needs to be a sip element. We all expected a welcome drink at least, especially given the prices at the venue you moved the class to (very expensive).

I was completely lost in the moment….for two hours! Grappling away with my lump of clay from the moment Laura welcomed us to the session to when time was up…very rewarding even if not quite reflected in the quality of my outcome as my attached photo will testify! Please pass on my thanks to Laura for a great session because of her advice, help and encouragement. Many thanks Jai
