Salim and I really enjoyed the class. Both Norman and Rak were very friendly and very patient with our questions. We loved the fact that it was halal which fitted in with our dietary requirements. I would highly recommend it.

We went along to Malaysian Streetfood Cooking Masterclass with Malaysian celebrity chef Norman Musa (and Rak and Flo). The venue at Mercato Metropolitano was vibrant and already in full swing when we got there. There were hundreds of street food vendors, various bars, and even a brewery - worth a visit on its own! The kitchen was simple but well-equipped, with everything we needed to make Malaysian chicken curry, prawn noodles, roti canai, and pandan pancakes with palm sugar and coconut. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating or instructive. After the aromas, sizzling and frying each pair had assembled their own meal. The group sat together outside in Mercato Metropolitano where we ate, drank and talked through the day. I can't wait to receive our digital copy of the recipes (hint hint!)

My partner and I did this cooking class as an anniversary gift to each other and it completely exceeded our expectations. From the get go the company looked professional and I knew we’d learn a whole lot of new things. The food we cooked was so delicious I can’t wait to try it at home. Norman and Rak are both outgoing and funny too. We had a good laugh and a great time! Highly recommend.

This class was great! Norman is a wonderful and patient teacher. He taught us how to make delicious Roti Canai and Char Kway Teow, and kindly provided a protein alternative (Tempeh) for me so I could make vegetarian versions of these Malaysian classics. The atmosphere was great, especially sitting down at the end and listening to some of Norman's fascinating stories. Highly recommended!
