In this introductory blacksmithing class, you will have the opportunity to explore the ancient art of metalworking. Learn how to manipulate hot metal using hammers and anvils under the guidance of a skilled blacksmith. During the workshop, you will create your very own handcrafted item to take home.
Expect a hands-on experience as you work with hot metal, shaping it into useful and decorative designs. The rhythmic sounds of hammer on anvil and the heat of the forge will transport you to another time.
The course is suitable for complete beginners who have never tried blacksmithing before and people who have already been on one of our short courses and would like to continue learning. We won't be doing anything too strenuous so there's no need to worry that you're not strong enough.
