Lovely experience, great atmosphere! The painting was a little intricate but Jordan was always here to help :)

Class facilitator, Jordan, was lovely. Calm, supportive, welcoming and informative. It was my first paint experience and I had a great time.

Jordan was great - really friendly and helpful. He guided us through the painting with really clear steps. Everybody managed to create something they were proud of.

Room - freezing , 5 degrees. Paint wouldn’t dry and so colours mixed and my hands were freezing. The waitress even said “this lady is freezing”. I never feel the cold but another client confirmed the temperature was 5 degrees! Tutor Jordan - He spent 10 minutes loudly ranting to one lady about some work he was unpaid for, and when I asked if he could maybe stop now as he was spoiling the energy, I was told “you know where the door is” (!) I had to decide to stay in his toxic atmosphere or leave my 1/4 done painting. I explained quietly that the advert said this was a “fun” class as per the advert and I just wanted to paint and stayed and was told “well we are on a break”. Other comments “no Christmas music as I’m so done with all that” (wrong - we are in the 12 days of Christmas now and were painting Christmas gonks ) It didn’t matter but again it damaged the tone. ; “let’s not have breaks as then this doesn’t need to take an hour longer than it needs to” “f’ing awful” , “insane” etc etc. With a 16 year old in the room everyone else was watching their language and apologising for slip ups but not the tutor. The concept of the class and choice of art and materials were great, and with a professional tutor and a venue with heating it could have been a fun evening. Just avoid Jordan whose “friendly” act is a v thin veneer for someone who is clearly struggling. Also avoid the The Arc (Bedford) in winter.
