In this Ikebana class, you will immerse yourself in the art of traditional Japanese Ikebana flower arrangement. Learn how to create stunning floral displays with grace and precision. You'll have the opportunity to create your own flower arrangement and learn the abundant culture behind it.

If the thought of arranging flowers seems daunting, fear not! Our friendly instructor will guide you through every step of the process, making it a fun and interesting experience for beginners. Working with a variety of fresh flowers and elegant vases, you'll soon discover the meditative and therapeutic qualities of Ikebana.

The art of flower arrangement is a comprehensive discipline, encompassing not only the study of plant materials but also the exploration of three-dimensional space, color theory, sculptural art, and other aspects, reflecting one's artistic cultivation and cultural heritage. Ohara School is one of the three major ikebana schools in Japan and is currently experiencing rapid development in China. Compared to the Ikenobo and Sogetsu School, the Ikebana flower arrangement has characteristics that are closer to traditional Chinese culture, and its distinctive features captivate viewers at first sight.

During the workshop, you'll learn the traditional techniques and principles of Ohara ikebana, allowing your creativity to flourish. By the end of the class, you'll learn the skills of beautiful arrangements to adorn your home with and a newfound appreciation for the art of flower arranging.

Overall a very informative and fun class. It felt a little rushed and quite strict at times, but we learned a lot and felt very inspired by the end.

Excellent and very skilled teacher. Lovely friendly small class and plenty of chance to ask questions. I would have liked to do 2 arrangements during the session rather than just one and to use the full 2 hours but very enjoyable. Thankyou !
