During our hands-on and interactive 3-hour Gluten-Free Dim Sum & Bao cooking class, you'll delve into a world of essential cooking techniques and skills, crafting mouth-watering dishes bursting with flavour.
Menu:
- Char Sui Pork Bao Bun -- Hand made Gluten Free Bao with a barbeque pork filling (Veggie: Mushroom)
- Jiaozi -- Pork & Prawn Gluten Free Dumplings, hand made and hand shaped
- Gui Chai Tod –- Crispy garlic chive dumplings, pan fried until golden and then served with sweet soy sauce
- Smashed Cucumber Salad -- Cucumbers smashed and dressed with vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and chili for a tangy and flavourful salad
What you'll learn:
- Gluten-Free Bao Dough Making: Master the art of crafting gluten-free bao dough, ensuring it's fluffy and light.
- Dim Sum Filling Preparation: Learn to prepare flavourful fillings for bao buns and dumplings, both meat-based and vegetarian.
- Bao Bun Shaping Techniques: Discover various methods for shaping bao buns to achieve the perfect texture.
- Dumpling Folding Techniques: Perfect the art of folding and pleating dumplings for a beautiful presentation.
- Pan-Frying Techniques: Master the technique of pan-frying dumplings to achieve a crispy exterior without sticking.
The class will be led by a Head Chef and Assistant Chef, and class sizes typically range from 6-12 students. This class is suitable for all levels of experience, from seasoned chefs to total beginners. We are here to help you become more confident in your skills and learn new techniques to impress your family and friends.
