This is a fun activity in Camden Town, London

Curious about the pottery wheel and want to give it a go? Try our introductory pottery wheel taster class in Camden Town.

In this 90-minute session you'll dive into the world of crafting bowls and cylinders on the potter's wheel. Our friendly, experienced tutor is there to hold your hand through every spin, and you can expect to make up to 2 pieces.

This is an open group session with a maximum of 8 people, so everyone gets real attention. Bring a friend or come solo and meet others who share your love of clay!

Taking your pieces home:
The £45 ticket covers the class itself -- the making, the guidance and the studio time.

- Firing: £5 per piece, so we can fire your work in our kiln and you can keep it. Pre-pay when you book for the discounted rate, or pay £5 per piece on the day.
- Painting and glazing: come back for an additional session at £15 to decorate your own ceramics, or choose our Clear glaze for £5.

Fired pieces are ready to collect 21 days after your class. We'll then hold them safely for another 30 days, so there's no rush.

“Our tutor Emily ran a brilliant class introducing us to pottery throwing. She was very clear in her step by step instructions and very patient towards the eight people in our class in helping us to make 2 pieces. We would highly recommend this class. It was great fun.”

“Emily was amazing and really helpful; we made a vase and a little jug and can't wait to see them in their fired glory. The feel of clay under your fingers, forming shapes is gorgeous.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our pottery session. The tutors were friendly and created a relaxed learning environment. The lesson included demonstrations and clear instructions on what to do. We were supported each step of the way and encouraged to have fun with the clay. We all came away saying we wished we could have stayed longer and inspired to do pottery again soon. Highly recommended.”

“Honestly I can’t recommend this class. This was a very awkward and uncomfortable experience. The teacher was new and couldn’t explain herself well in English. Then another teacher arrived and he seemed to be mad with us (or maybe with her). The class started more than 10 minutes late and 5 minutes before the end we were told the class finished. One of the teachers dropped my coffee and didn’t even offer a new one. He also touch my clothes in the part that the apron did not cover and left it all dirty with clay. Did not apologize for this either. I had to pay 5 gbp extra to glaze the clay and they didn’t even contact me to let me know when it was ready to pick up. It was also a bit misleading as they charge you 5 but you can do two pots with that but that’s never mentioned when you book it.”
