This is a fun activity in Camden Town, London

Curious about the pottery wheel and want to give it a go? Try our introductory pottery wheel taster class in Camden Town.

In this 90-minute session you'll dive into the world of crafting bowls and cylinders on the potter's wheel. Our friendly, experienced tutor is there to hold your hand through every spin, and you can expect to make up to 2 pieces.

This is an open group session with a maximum of 8 people, so everyone gets real attention. Bring a friend or come solo and meet others who share your love of clay!

Taking your pieces home:
The £45 ticket covers the class itself -- the making, the guidance and the studio time.

- Firing: £5 per piece, so we can fire your work in our kiln and you can keep it. Pre-pay when you book for the discounted rate, or pay £5 per piece on the day.
- Painting and glazing: come back for an additional session at £15 to decorate your own ceramics, or choose our Clear glaze for £5.

Fired pieces are ready to collect 21 days after your class. We'll then hold them safely for another 30 days, so there's no rush.

“The teacher was great - we had only 4 people in the group, so we had lots of personal feedback and attention. However, I believe the structure of the class could be MUCH better - starting with a small introduction to pottery as art and clay as material just to let us know more about all this. Instead we just watched our teacher do pottery for like 15 mins and explain what we had to do - by the end of his performance I obviously forgot all the details and wasn't able to do it all by myself - so felt like a waste of time and certainly could have been done differently, in a more structured and engaging way. We were a bit late to the class (10 mins), we called and warned the school in advance. When we came in, we were led straight to the class in a kind of rushed way which I understand, but then we had to use the bathroom and go all the way to the main entrance (which is quite a journey) - this could have been avoided with a simple question whether we need the loo to start with. Again, waste ot time. Lastly, even though we were 10-15 minutes late to start the class (all things considered), around 3.15pm we started, and we left the room at 4.09pm which would be alright if only the class wasn't supposed to last for 1.5 hours. I was deeply dissappointed that we had so much time to spare and for £50 per person it simply didn't feel right - so I would not recommend this school to anyone nor come back to it myself, unfortunately... All in all, the teacher was nice and friendly - but it's the lack of structure and business approach to these classes that really upset me. I hope the school takes this feedback fairly and uses it to make the classes better because it does look like a very nice place with lots of fun activites and great people! P.S. some background music during the class would be appreciated.”
