Our Teen Studio Day is a perfect introduction for any teenager eager to learn the foundations of traditional jewellery-making techniques and skills. This is beyond a package of beads and wire wrapping!
In our dedicated studio, experience the magic of being behind a jeweller's bench, learning to use tools of the trade while personally fabricating your jewellery. Each day, under expert tuition, you will be immersed in the studio gaining knowledge of tools, materials, and creative capabilities while adding your unique flair to your jewellery.
Each session has a dedicated technique/skill to familiarise yourself with during the day and plenty of variety to keep your imagination running. While each session is standalone, these sessions can be taken as a one-off or in a series of days, building on skills and techniques learned in previous sessions or practising and delving more in-depth with the same techniques. With a maximum of only 4 students per session, it allows us the opportunity to provide you with plenty of one-to-one guidance.
Each day you are guaranteed to leave in awe as you walk away with your beautifully finished piece of Silver Jewellery, a host of new traditional silversmithing skills, alongside a truly memorable experience.
Sessions are broken into specific focuses with a choice of projects including : Rings, Bangles, Pendants or Key rings and include adding Embellishments, Charms, Hand Stamping & Enamelling
Skills taught: Piercing (sawing) metal, forming metal, adding texture to metal, soldering, using pliers and hammers like a pro, enamelling, stamping, filing, finishing, and polishing
Age: 12-16 years old
