This is a fun activity in Bristol

Make a beautiful decorative stained glass feather hanging using the copper foiling method at our studio in Staple Hill. This is the perfect workshop for beginners where you can learn all about the traditional craft of copper foiling.

In this hands-on day course, you'll be able to choose from a wide selection of glass colours to make your feather hanging out of. You'll then learn how to cut and solder the glass pieces together and end the day with your own hanging for the home or garden. Our experienced tutor will enable you to get a good grounding in the core skills, whilst also enabling you to finish your piece during the day ready to take home and show off! Learn about different types of glass and choose from a wide range of colours and textures to suit your style.

PLEASE NOTE: If there is no availability for the date you would like to book please message me and I may be able to open more spaces.

I’ve had the BEST day! What a great day. I’ve always wanted to do something creative but with little talent or ability ‘ art’ was not for me. This was great. There were four of us on the course and we all came away with something to be proud of. I’m so happy! It was a great way to spend the day and a wonderful distraction from the day to day hum drum. I’ll be signing up for more.

I had a great time at the copper foiling glass workshop on Friday 20th June. Karen was a great teacher and was happy to share her knowledge with us all. I am going to have a go at making some more copper foil glass items soon. Thank you Karen for the workshop and I will definitely recommend you and the creative space to friends. Thanks again. Claire
