“Michael was welcoming and friendly and he was well spoken and clear in instructions, which is absolutely required when working with sharp objects and high temperatures. The class was full, but we never felt ignored, we talked with the other students and shared what we were doing and Michael checked in with each of us at every step. I really enjoyed working with the silver, the hammer technique was fun to see on the metal, and we got to do every step, the shaping, the soldering, the acid bath and then the final stages of filing and rounding out the shape for wearing. At the end of it we had a really nice hand made ring, so definitely can recommend if you have ever fancied making your own ring. A final note on the venue, it is behind a shop, so not obvious until the shutters have been raised, and there is no parking on site, we had to park down a side road nearby. However it is fairly close to the Bournville train station, so if you are worried about leaving your car, it might be easier to take the train and walk.”

“Loved the class. Would highly recommend to others that have an interest. My partner and I made each others promise rings. Teacher was lovely. Been told by others today that my ring looks professionally made. Very happy. Nothing negative to say and I'm quite picky and hard to please.”

“This was a great class. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the teacher was lovely - she put everyone at ease straight away and was a great mix of being supportive but also let us get on with it and chat among ourselves.”
