Join us for an exciting silversmithing class in Ramsbottom, where you will learn all the techniques needed to create your very own sterling silver ring from scratch. This workshop is ideal for beginners looking to delve into the traditional art of silversmithing and jewellery-making.
During your class with Issy, you will learn essential silversmithing techniques, including threading a piercing saw, sizing your ring, forming, soldering with a blowtorch, shaping using a hammer and mandrel, filing, polishing, and refining by adding textures.
Don't worry if you're new to this craft – we'll guide you through every step, ensuring a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
By the end of the workshop, you will not only have a newfound understanding of silversmithing but also a unique sterling silver ring that you've personally designed and created.
The workshop takes approximately 2 hours to have your ring completed; however, courses can run over by approximately 20 minutes.
The workshop is at my home studio in Ramsbottom, with refreshments included.
