This is a fun activity in Northampton

To immerse yourself in the festive spirit this season, consider joining a creative pottery class in Northampton. In this workshop, you will learn how to construct either a festive tree tealight holder using slabs of clay. The process will involve cutting the stoneware clay into shapes, removing areas, and joining pieces together. You will learn how to sculpt, slip, score, add textures and delicate details to your tree. You will consider your design and where and how the light of a candle will shine through. Furthermore you might want to add a sculpted owl, bird, heats or stars to your design.

Furthermore, you will learn the art of colour mixing and applying these colours to your art. Your art piece can be proudly displayed and used throughout the season or gifted to a loved one.

You do not need any experience working with clay, and this class is perfect for beginners and more advanced students.

As you immerse yourself in the creative process, you may experience a sense of relaxation and fulfilment. Let your imagination run wild as you personalise your pieces with unique designs and colours. By the end of the workshop, you'll have handmade, one-of-a-kind decoration that will add a special touch to your holiday season.

So, join us in this transformative workshop and unleash your artistic abilities. Whether you want to create something for yourself or surprise someone with a heartfelt Christmas gift, this class will leave you with treasured pieces to cherish for years to come. You will be notified when your piece is ready for collection two to three later after a bisque and glaze fire has been done.

Lovely class, the teacher Marika explained things clearly, everybody’s interpretation was slightly different. Absorbing and relaxing three hours. Very enjoyable. Marika’s little dog made it even more special!

My teacher was very kind, patient and helpful. I made a Festive Pottery Tealight Holder, and really enjoyed the whole process, including the chocolate tea cake, and the glass of prosecco we were given during the afternoon! It's hard to say what I most liked, as I liked everything about the workshop; the venue, the care and attention to every detail that Marika put in, the people - the whole experience was well worth the money. I hope to come again some time soon.
