In this hands-on one-day workshop, experienced artist and gilder Estitxu Garcia from Filigrana Design will teach you how to apply a variety of metal leafs onto glass using the traditional technique of Verre Eglomise.
You'll begin by learning the skills of gilding on glass using specialist tools and materials (all provided). Having mastered the basic techniques, you'll try your hand at distressing the gold and silver leaf to create a variety of finishes. You'll then move on to learning how to create designs, patterns, and drawings onto the gilded glass, transforming it into your own beautiful piece of artwork which you get to take home.
Classes are small and intimate with a maximum of 3 people per workshop, or you can choose to have a one-to-one private class. Dates are flexible, so if you would like a group class but you can't see a date that works for you, please get in touch, and we can try to accommodate.
