This is a fun activity in Walworth, London

In this hands-on pottery workshop in London, you'll learn how to hand-build your very own unique coffee cup using clay. Over the course of two hours, you'll craft a personalised mug that you can use and treasure for years to come.

If you've never worked with clay before, don't worry - this class is suitable for all skill levels. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you'll discover how satisfying it can be to shape and form your own creation from a simple lump of clay.

During the session, you'll:

- Use hand-building techniques to form your mug
- Add personal touches like handles, textures, and design elements
- Decorate your cup with underglazes provided in the workshop

As you work with the clay, you might find yourself pleasantly absorbed in the tactile process, enjoying the feel of the material in your hands as your mug takes shape.

By the end of the class, you'll have completed your unique coffee cup, ready for glazing and firing. You'll leave your masterpiece with us for this final process, and in just three weeks, you'll be able to collect your finished mug - or have it posted to you for an additional £10.

This enriching experience will not only teach you a new skill but also provide you with a one-of-a-kind mug to enjoy your favourite hot beverage in. It's a chance to step away from mass-produced items and create something truly personal - a little piece of art for your daily routine.

Note : Except the beige colour black splashed mug, the other images are from our students.

Lovely teachers, teaching us well and explaining what we were doing and why. All very smiley! And also gently sorting us out when things were going wrong (like me making a hole in my nearly finished mug). Even more fun decorating the mug and seeing the different artistic choices we all made. Maximum class size is eight (we were five) which means you get all the personal attention you want. Aprons provided. a word of warning for less mobile: the workshop is up a long flight of steep steps.

Really enjoyed this class - went with two friends and it was just the three of us in the session. The teachers were so lovely and helpful and gave useful guidance, suggestions and hands-on help where we needed it as we hadn't done much hand building before. Such a nice way to spend a few hours and we're really happy with the pieces we made!
