This class is designed for beginners, teaching you the basics of hand building pottery while crafting something that’s both pretty and functional.
You'll start by learning essential pottery techniques like slab rolling, carving, embossing, and joining. While templates are provided to guide you, there’s plenty of room for creativity, so if you have a specific design in mind, feel free to bring it to life! You’ll be guided through each step, from rolling and cutting out your forms to constructing your oil burner, and once your piece is built, you’ll have the chance to decorate it using a variety of coloured slips, making it uniquely yours.
Expect a hands-on introduction to hand building, with all tools and materials provided. Your oil burner will be fired and glazed for you, with pieces typically ready for collection within 4-6 weeks. Plus, all creations are dishwasher safe, making them both beautiful and practical!
