In this North London baking class, you'll learn the step-by-step process of making sourdough bread, focaccia, and pizza. You’ll also create your own sourdough focaccia, customising it with your choice of toppings from pre-fermented dough.

We'll cover how to maintain a healthy, active sourdough starter and explore what to do with any leftover starter, including making sourdough pancakes and crackers.

At the end of the session, you'll enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch, including the creations made during class.

Plus, you'll take home your own sourdough starter, a loaf of Bernie's Bakehouse sourdough, a dough scraper, and recipe sheets to help you continue your sourdough journey.

“Such a unique and high quality experience. I bought this for my partner, who was interested in learning to make sourdough. I bought a spot for myself so that he wasn’t alone but I wasn’t too interested in the topic (just the benefits of him learning!). But I’m so glad I came. From the start to the stop, it was a warm, welcoming, and high quality experience. Nicole took us through all the stages of sourdough bread making with such care and passion; it was impossible not to be enthusiastic. We were as hands on as we wanted to be, and we all learned so much! My expectations were blown away. In addition to the sourdough, we made our own sourdough focaccias and sourdough pizzas which we ate together (taking the rest home). She also showed us how to make delicious healthy crackers and savory pancakes, which we all got to eat as well. And in addition to her pre-made sourdough loaves and our leftover focaccia, and our full bellies, we went home with our own sourdough starters! If the idea of trying to keep a starter alive stresses you out (like it did me), rest assured. You can always get in contact with Nicole for help! Nicole is really good at what she does.
