This is a fun activity in Camden Town, London
This in-person jewellery making class is held in Camden Town, London NW1.
Add to your existing silver clay jewellery making skills, while having a fun day out. Recommended for those who have completed at least one beginners level silver clay jewellery course, or similar.
This course (and all my courses) is designed for adults. I do not currently offer classes for children and teenagers.
During this full-day class, you'll work through two projects, learning how to form a ring band in two different ways, as well as how to add your own custom decorations, including adding a fused glass cabochon or other fireable stone.
Manage the shrinkage of the clay to ensure your ring turns out the right size, and learn how to work with the clay in one of its most fragile forms in the dry state as you refine and decorate your ring band.
Silver Clay - is real alchemy, and literally a clay made from silver particles!
You first model the clay to create your basic forms, then dry it out and further refine it, join elements together and then finally fire the clay to burn away the binder and sinter the silver particles together to form a solid metal.
With a small group size of just 3 students, your experienced instructor will guide you through the process, ensuring you feel confident every step of the way.
All the materials you need will be provided, so simply come along on your own or with friends to enjoy a fun and creative day. See your unique ring designs come to life and finish the day with two beautiful silver rings ready to wear.
This is a fairly busy, intensive day, for people who are already familiar with the basics of working with silver metal clay.
The workshop space is down a flight of stairs, so unfortunately difficult to access for anyone with mobility problems - apologies for any inconvenience.
